USA president Biden,s administration is focused on ending the USA 20 years military engagement in Afganistan as the nation is returned to rule by Afgans .
The joint chief of staff has made it clear that it was going to be a matter of weeks, months or a years before the government in Afghanistan falls to the Taliban who were over thrown by USA led
allied forces following the September 11 2001 attacks by terrorists who planned their operations in Afghanistan .
The USA forces are in control of the airport in Kabul presently , making sure that Americans , foreigners and credentialed Afgans are cleared and taken away , some to willing countries like Uganda in Africa .
What has happened was to happen, the difference being the timing and so far , the Taliban seem to be cooperating with American commanders on the ground. .
