The World Council of Churches (WCC), with support from UNAIDS, conducted consultations between civil society actors and faith leaders, engaging and reengaging them
in the HIV response in India, the Dominican Republic, Indonesia, and Jamaica.
The consultations were held in the presence and with the input of ministries of health, national HIV programs, recipients and sub-recipients of the Global
Fund. and representatives of the country coordination mechanism. Using the main recommendations of the Global AIDS Strategy and other global actors, plans for a sustainable HIV response focusing on the inequalities that drive the epidemic were developed.
Participants in the webinar will explore the following questions: What did we learn from planning together? What is the way forward for the HIV response at country level? Why now and why together?
The webinar will be held
on 23 November 2 PM CET.
Interpretation to Spanish and Bahasa Indonesia will be offered.
