Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and City governance council leaders praised for Astros Success.

The city of Houston is now recognized as an international or global player in Sports after multiple World series win by the city baseball team the Astros.
Mayor Sylvester Turner said it was a good time to be a Houstonian following the 2022 Astros Houston World series win, and a magnificent post victory parade two days after the final games.
Council member Robinson, showered praise on Mayor Turner, saying the mayor and Astros manager or coach Dusty Baker make a great team.
Mayor Turner drew the attention of council members to the fact that, during his 7 years as mayor, the Astros reached the world series four times and won twice.
Mayor Turner also introduced the Houston Opens that begins in the same week at the memorial park, inviting those interested, to visit the park and enjoy the recent developments and innovation in place while enjoying the golf tournament.
