Minority & African American Engineers address barriers & professional challenges at SWE Conference

Minority and African American engineers at the Society For Women Engineers annual conference 2022 Taking place in the city of Houston Texas USA addressed barriers and other issues or challenges which African American and minorities experience as barriers and or challenges on their way to the top in careers in Engineering and Technology .
The two meetings which addressed the barriers and challenges are 1 ABB,s Black Women in STEM or Science , Technology , Engineering and Mathematics and 2 Women of Color Luncheon at the Marriot Marquis Hotel connected to the Convention center by the Sky bridge .
The panelists of black women engineers discussed Steroetypes , imposter and Super Woman , Micro-aggression , and the importance of mentors and sponsors .
During the Women of Color Luncheon at the ball room 5 of the Marriot Marquis hotel , Speaker Kimberly Mayes-Bedford vice president and Sr .HR director of BHR Technology group spoke on some of the issues discussed discussed in the African American women engineer panel especially Imposter syndrome and how to be assertive as a member of the team in leadership using her own experiences .
LaRhonda Leonard an engineer leader in her company spoke with the Editor of Healthndevelopment Magazine and Media on some of the issues including diversity and inclusion .
