Signing the declaration of Independence on July 2nd 1776. was partly an agreement by the founders of the USA government of the thirteen Colonies with France 'so that the French will continue to battle the British colonizers. at sea for the liberation or complete independence of the Colonies .
After the declaration of independence from the Crown in Great Britain ' more battles followed. that together. are known as the. revolutionary war.
Francos Scott watched from a hotel in Baltimore as. the military leaders. of the colonies stood up against the supposed superior. sea might. of the British navy.
Scott Penned the Star Spangled banner as he watched and saw that the British cod not take down the USA flag which was still there as hoisted.

The French later gave over their. holdings in the Indian American lands known ad the Louisiana purchase that stretched from New Oleans right up to Minnesota 'making a total of about 7 states along the Mississippi river.
America owes much to France for the defeat of great Britain and enlargement of the national territory of the USA .

Truly all Americans are thankful for the contribution of France in the independence of their country .
