MARCH FOR BABIES [MARCH FOR DIMES ] HOUSTON 2022 DREW A HUGE CROWD FOR CHILD HEALTH WORK

A huge crowd of Houstonians gathered in the University of Houston Campus on the 24th of April 2022 , and participated in the March for dimes or March for baby event .
Teams from the major hospital systems were on the ground with their staff and or members to walk and celebrate the efforts in research , education , awareness and treatment of neonatal and pediatric problems like birth defects , fetal alcohol syndrome and related child hood diseases and survival issues .
The organization was started by FDR to address infantile paralysis related or complicating polio which he was diagnosed of , though in later years , medical experts said he was mostly a victim of misdiagnosed Gullen Barre syndrome.
Most of the money raised during the walk is used for research , education and prevention in childhood diseases .
Globally the national organization started in the USA has a history of partnership with the World health organization in addressing maternal and childhood global health problems and earned a non state actor standing with the Global health organization or as seen in https://www.marchofdimes.org/mission/global-programs.aspx .
