President Joe Biden of the United States of America spoke to the press corps in Washington DC on Wednesday January the 19th 2022, the eve of his one year in office anniversary on a myriad of issues ,, including his administration handling of Covid 19 , inflation , voting right bills defeated in the senate , Russian incursion and influence in Ukrain and build back better agenda .
The president acknowledged that , his administration has done great with the covid19 preparedness and response , citing the number of Americans already vaccinated and boosted, the many millions of test kits sent to the homes of Americans on request and Covid 19 stimulus money .
The president believes that he will be able to pass different portions of his build back better agenda working with republicans in a bipartisan manner like the climate change mitigating provisions while acknowledging the lack of votes to do the family tax credits and free community college promises .
President Biden continues to belief that Russia may invade Ukraine , promising severe economic consequences should the latter do so .
President Biden made it clear that he favors the change of the senate filibuster rules to pass the John Lewis voting bill and the other voting bill into law though senator Joe Manchin and another democratic senator have joined republicans in stopping the democratic change of the filibuster , making it almost impossible to pass the voting bills with just 51 votes majority .
President Biden in the close to two hours press conference , signaled his willingness to work with republicans going forward .
