Kenyan and American win the male and female spots of the 50th anniversary '2022 Houston Marathon.

The 50th anniversary of the Houston Marathon 2022 had participants from multiple countries including the USA .
D'Amato broke the Houston and USA national record in the female section ' breaking the dominance that African women mostly from Kenya and Ethopia have had over the last decade.
It is possible that the weather may have contributed in the poor performance of the African women athletes who are not use to competing in very very cold climate conditions as was experienced in Houston on Sunday the 16th of January 2022.
The main winner of the race is a Kenyan male from Africa .
It was great to see so many thousands of participants take part in a race that was cancelled in the last two previous years because of the Covid19 pandemic.
City of Houston mayor ' Honorable Sylvester Turner addressed the participants at the start line ' welcoming them heartily to his city 'state and nation ' acknowledging the in person race in 2022 after the absence in the last previous 2 years .
