Houston police chief Art Acevedo details circumstances of sexual assault

In a press conference held at the central police main building down town , chief Art Acevedo gave details for the circumstances under which former Harris country deputy Richard Cornejo , 37 years old , was arrested and charged for sexual assault after raping a woman sleeping in her car outside Palacios night club at Greens point.
The chief of police said he broke the law and his oath of office .
It is possible that he must have assaulted many others , some thought to be undocumented women , who are asked to come forward , since they will be protected by law and not deported .
The investigation is on going while the accused remains in custody .
Sexual assault is considered a global health issue .
